At Nighthawk Custom, each pistol is built from start to finish by one of our highly skilled gunsmiths. Our slogan and philosophy, “One Gun, One Gunsmith,” is the direct result of how we build our guns. Once a pistol is built, the builder test fires the pistol to ensure that it exceeds both The Nighthawk Standard, and his own. He then uses a metal stamp to imprint his initials under the left grip panel. While this is not the fastest, most efficient, or most cost-effective way to build a firearm, this shows the highest level of ownership, and it signifies the pride and commitment our gunsmiths take in the work they do. Built with parts that have been Fully Machined from bar stock steel and the best components in the industry!

One of those Cosmi shotguns would be ideal with a poly choke system to control the choke for the type of cartridge being fired from bird shot to buckshot and then slugs just by twisting the choke tube to the desired settings 🤔😏🙄😁😎👍👌

I cannot describe how much I love this gun. The attention to detail. The craftsmanship. The feel. The pictures on Gunbroker did not do it justice. The fact that has mammoth ivory grips that cannot even be purchased in six states is just the icing on a beautiful cake.

It's kind of unfortunate that if someone wants to add an arched mainspring housing Nighthawk will have to make it happen. That means all Nighthawk parts. It's not a bad thing, but it kind of defeats the purpose of customization to one's own desires. For instance, I prefer Wilson extractors, but the Nighthawk frames are drilled in a way that the hook to breech face is a lot closer than it should be and taking off so much material from the hook is a no no. Also, how is the main take down pin going to be designed? It's interesting, but I would rather see a machined, one part 2011 frame that is well designed. The 1 piece 2011 frames out there are cast metal and look really odd always providing a slot for an ambi-safety. When there is a will, there is a way. If Nighthawk is willing to go out of there way to change measurements and do there own thing, lets see some REAL change! Make us a one piece fully machined 2011 frame without an ambi-safety slot on the right side of the frame or some strange holes that make it look really odd. Way to go Nighthawk on not being afraid to do your own thing, but now it's time to

Great video for the basics. But what to do when the DTS fails the safety check? The safety moves to a lower position when pulling the trigger with the safety activated. With safety off, the grip safety has to be deeply depressed to not interfere with feel of the trigger bow travelling back. Even then there is a substantially mushy feeling that was not there prior to installing the DTS.
Have you checked out the thumb safety and grip safety mod videos? Those should walk you through the necessary steps to get these issues resolved.
1911 is my favorite handgun. And the nighthawk is the top of the list. I have more than I need but not as many as I want.

How about a single stack 9mm magazine with an extended basepad that holds more than 10 rounds. Haven't seen any 1911 9mm magainze that holds more than 10 in the market.
